First quarter this millennium for the ringer of the 4th.
This is the first time since 1979 that the ringers of 2, 3, and 4 have rung together, the last time being in Wallingford.
Rung to welcome the National Trust Walking Group from Penrhyn Castle to the estate village and church at Llandegai.
This quarter peal also commemorates the birth on this day in 1582 of Archbishop John Williams, and his death, also on this day in 1650. Archbishop Williams was successively Dean of Westminster, Bishop of Lincoln (1621-1641), and Archbishop of York (1641-46): he was the last bishop to serve as Lord Chancellor. He is buried in this church.
