To celebrate the birth on 7th June of the first grandchild for James and Elaine.
Rung by the same band who won the National Call Change Competition on 1st June, and who came third in the Major Final (the Devon Call Change championship) yesterday - partial excuse, sleep deprivation, see first part of footnote!
We think this is the first time that a band has rung in the major final that is also capable of ringing surprise minor, and so thought we’d mark the occasion by doing just that for morning service.
First time this band has rung method together on church bells.
