Rung prior to Christmas Carol Service, and in celebration of the life and work of Mr Michael (Mike) Barritt Rose, Surgeon (1940 – 2016), by his friends and family. Former Guild Master and Honorary Vice President of the Swansea and Brecon Diocesan Guild of Bellringers. Outside his professional life and tower and handbell ringing, Mike had many interests. His love of literature and poetry inspired him to gain an English Degree in retirement. He was motivated to take up wine making when he and Hilary lived for a while in Chertsey in a house with a grape vine, now somewhere under the M25. He enjoyed looking around gardens, bird watching, walking country footpaths and Gower Society Walks, fungi searching in the autumn, classical music and the Gower Festival, International Croquet player for Wales, researching family history, travelling with Hilary (USA, New Zealand, Alaska, Germany, Ireland), often on a tandem or in a camper van. He is much missed.
