First peal 6.

Rung to celebrate the marriage of the Hon. G. L. Hamilton-Russell, eldest son of Viscount and Viscountess Boyne, of Burwarton Hall, and Miss Joan Yerney, daughter of Sir Harry and Lady Joan Verney, of 1, Rutland Gardens. The ceremony took place on January 20th at St. Margaret’s, Westminster.

First peal ‘ inside ’ for 2nd and 3rd ringers. Rung as a wedding compliment to Miss Brockelhurst, a member of the band.

Rung to celebrate the 81st birthday of Mr. J. Jones, a respected friend and supporter of the Ruardenn ringers; also as a birthday compliment to Mr. J. W. Davies, of Lydney, and the conductor.

Rung in honour of the birth of a daughter to the Rev. and Mrs. W. R. Griffiths, Stokesay.

First on ten with a bob bell 2 and 8. First peal on ten 3 and 10.

This and the peal at Whitney were rung to oblige H. T. Chandler, of H. M. S.’ Tiger,’ who was home on leave.

Rung half-muffled as a token of respect to the late Henry Dew, a one time member of the above Guild.

Rung as a farewell peal to Mr. G. W. Taysom, who, to the re­gret of all, is leaving the district to take up an appointment at Falmouth.

150th peal: 4. Arranged and rung with the bells half-muffled as a last token of respect to the late Mr. H. Hughes, who had been churchwarden for nearly fifty years. The interment took place during the afternoon.

Rung to celebrate the silver wedding of Mr. E. T. Allaway, of St. Martin's, Birmingham, and a native of Ruardean. Also a birthday compliment to Mr. J. Harper, an esteemed member of the local ringers. Mr. W. Bishop has now rung each bell in this tower to a peal. Quickest peal on the bells

First peal on eight by ringers of 2nd, 5th, 6th, and 8th. First peal with bob bell by 3rd and 4th. First as conductor. The above, with the exception of treble ringer, are all Sunday service ringers at this church.
