First peal - 8. First peal in the method as conductor.

First peal - 6. First peal as conductor. This was rung as a centenary peal, the old ring of six bells having been cast and hung by Rudall, of Gloucester, in 1812. The ringers were all members of the local band except Mr. W. Short, who is the instructor to the Guild.

First peal with a bob bell - 4. First peal of Triples - 8. This peal was rung as a compliment to Capt. Glen Kidston, in recognition of his many kindnesses to the ringers of St. Peter's, and the kind interest he takes in the church generally.

This peal was rung to welcome the new Vicar and his wife (the Rev W and Mrs Roberts) who are taking a keen interest in the ringers and their ringing generally. The ringers take this opportunity of wishing them a very prosperous life in their new parish.

First peal 1 and 2.

Quickest peal on the bells. Arranged and rung as a farewell to Arthur Hadley, who was leaving for Arklow, Ireland, on February 7th, the ringers wishing him every success in his new sphere.

First peal 1 and 4. First peal on the bells. W.Short hails from Clent, C. H . Sparkes from Withington, and the rest of the band hail from Ludlow. The ringers wish to thank the Vicar, the Rev. James Mackay, for kindly granting the use of the bells.

First peal with a bob bell 2, first peal 6. Rung with the bells half muffled in memory of the late Mr. Rees Jones, who was Rector’s warden for many years.

Rung as a farewell peal to the ringer of the 5th, who is leaving the band.

First peal on the bells, which have been rehung by Mr. A. Bowell, of Ipswich. The “ go ” is splendid

First peal - 1. First peal with a bob bell - 2. First peal as conductor. Rung to commemorate the first visit of King George and Queen Mary to South Wales.

First peal by ringer of the treble, who is only 17 years of age, and is believed to be the youngest member of the Guild to have rung in a peal; also Fred Beynon's first peal. Rung to commemorate the coming of age of the Hon. Wilfred Bailey, eldest son of the Right Hon. Lord Glanusk, D.S.O., on June 27th. but on that day the peal came to grief owing to the tenor going so hard.

J.P. Hyett’s first quarter as conductor, and rung as a birthday compliment to B. Jones. The Vicar (the Rev. T. W. Trumper) kindly entertained the ringers to tea, after which several 360’s were rung for evening service.

The above are all members of the Manchester Unity of Oddfellows Friendly Society. The ringers of the treble, 3rd, 5th and tenor belong to the “Loyal Glanenig” Lodge, Talgarth, and the ringers of the 2nd and 4th to the “Loyal Prince Llewellyn” Lodge, Builth Wells. The band wishes the Manchester Unity every success. This is the first Oddfellows’ peal in Wales, the first peal - by the ringer of the tenor, and the conductor's 50th peal.

Arranged for Messrs. Taylor and Williams, of the Hereford Cathedral band.

This is the first peal on the bells. The ringers hail from Llangattock and Crickhowell, except the 5th man, who hails from Brecon.

This was rung as a farewell peal to the Rev. D. H. Phillips, who for the greater part of the past three years has been curate-in-charge of the parish, the ringers wishing him every success in the future. First peal of Minor for the ringer of the 4th, who hails from Glasbury-on-Wye the others belong to the local band.

The conductor is now on his annual tour through the Hereford Diocese as instructor to the above Guild.

First peal of Minor on the bells. C. H. Austin was elected a member of the Hereford Guild previous to starting.

The conductor has now called peals in 100 different towers from Doubles to Maximus. The ringers, after the peal, had tea at Staunton Court, and wish to thank Mr. and Mrs. R. Edwards for their kind hospitality.

Rung by the Cathedral Society.

First peal on the bells and first as conductor.

This is the first peal of Treble Eight on the bells. It was specially arranged and rung as a compliment to the Rector of Ross (the Rev. T. R. Money-Kyrle), being the first 5000 on the bells during his incumbency. Messrs. Austin and Gardiner were elected members of the Guild previous to starting.

Rung as a farewell peal to the Rev. C. H. Binstead, who is leaving the parish.

Rung on the occasion of the Harvest Festival

Umpire— Charles Powell. First peal by all on handbells, and believed to be the first for the Hereford Guild.

First peal of Minor on the bells. Previous to starting for the peal, the Vicar (the Rev. V. A. Cresswell) welcomed the band and rang the treble in 120 Grandsire Doubles, and after the peal kindly entertained the ringers to refreshments. The best thanks of the band are accorded him for his kindness.
