also in memory of Gunner William Wilkinson of the 160th Heavy Battery, Royal Garrison Artillery who died on 2nd January 1919 aged 31. He died of bronchial pneumonia at Salonika and is buried at the Mikra British Cemetery, Kalamaria, Greece. He was the son of Henry and Sarah Wilkinson of Besthorpe, Newark and the husband of Eveline Gertrude Wilkinson of High Street Edwinstowe.

Also in memory of C Bentley and J Dalby who are both named on the Church War Memorial

First quarter (at 1st attempt) 1 and 6. 6 was also a recruit for Ringing Remembers. Included family members from 4 generations, 1, 2 great grandmother, 5 grandfather, 8 mother. The band would also like to associate the ringing with Colin Reed (Tyler's great grandfather who taught him to ring) and was a former tower captain for many years, who was unable to ring due to poor health.

Specially arranged and rung to celebrate 60 years today (12/11/58) since Margaret started to ring at Newark on Trent.

Rung on the day after Armistice Day as a mark of respect to all the fallen in the First World War. Also as a mark of respect to Private Harold Brelsford 41305, Kings Liverpool Reg, who died of wounds sustained in that war on 25th October 1919.

Rung to celebrate the centenary of the signing of the Armistice, and to commemorate the safe return of 26 villagers who served in H. M. Forces in World War 1

Celebrating 60 years of ringing for Margaret Snyder, who had her first handling lesson in this tower on 12/11/58.

To commemorate the death of Gunner William Buckels, Royal Garrison Artillery. William survived the war, being discharged from the Army in 1919, suffering from cancer of the bowel aggravated by war service. He returned to his trade as a painter and died on 23rd January 1921.

To commemorate the death of Private Norman Cecil Goulding, 9th Battalion Sherwood Foresters, who died 5th March 1921.

Rung at short notice, after being locked out at Ibstock, on the first such occasion in nearly 15 years of monthly quarters.

A belated commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the deaths of: Private Henry George Colman,17th Battalion Sherwood Foresters, who died of wounds on 31st October 1916; Lance Corporal Frank Robinson, 15th Battalion Durham Light Infantry, who was killed in action on 4th October 1917; Gunner W.Ross, Royal Field Artillery, for whom we have no further details.
