Rung remembering all those who took part in the Battle of Britain, especially those who made the ultimate sacrifice. RAF Coningsby is the home to the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight. We did set out to ring a peal but unfortunately the conductor was taken ill half way through the sixth extent. It is hoped to rearrange this peal before the end of the year. This attempt took place whilst a commemoration service was held at midday outside the hanger of the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight at RAF Coningsby. After the attempt we were treated to a guided tour of the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight and hangers at RAF Coningsby and had our photo take with the Dakota from the BBMF.
