For the 80th birthday of C Edward Jeffries who spent his childhood in this village and rang the tenor to the first peal on the then five bells in 1937. May he long continue to inspire and entertain us! The great man was very much in evidence, entertaining the band after the Bromham peal, turning out to meet them before they started at Blunham, and providing 'refreshments' for the Bedford and Blunham peal bands.
