Wishing Brian Harris a very happy 90th birthday. Brian taught 2 and 6 (and many others) to ring and installed these bells back in 1977. A much loved gentleman of many skills - teaching, singing, story-telling, and of course a veteran of the extent of Major in 1963. Many happy returns, Brian, from your many friends in Abbots Bromley and beyond.

Specially arranged to celebrate the 90th birthday of Brian Harris with the best wishes of the band. Brian masterminded the installation of Bradley bells here at Abbots Bromley with much local labour including two (much-younger) members of today’s peal band. Clive and Lucy Smith wish to be associated with this performance.

Im memory of Norman A Bramall (6/6/32-8/12/21), a member of the Pattingham Band since 1962, and of Kenmure A Russell (22/9/37-19/10/22), who was Ringing Master at Pattingham until 1975. Rung by three former and four current members of the band with a friend who had rung peals with both of them.

Ringing took place before and after the special morning service in celebration of the Coronation of King Charles III. All three of our learners took part and cake was enjoyed afterwards with the congregation.

Rung for Armistice Day. The first peal on the twelve bells.

The back 10 originated from the redundant church of St John's, Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent which were cast in 1923 by Gillett and Johnson. Two of these bells were cast in memory of those who died in the Great War of 1914-1918.The 4th (Hanley old 2nd) was in memory of the five church choir members. The 7th (Hanley old 5th) was in memory of employees of Johnson Bros. of Hanley. The treble was donated by Margaret and Selwyn Jones. The 2nd was donated by Jean and Jim Nixon in memory of their parents.Both of these bells were cast in 2019 by the Westley Group.
