After ringing at St John’s Keele there was a party with ringing at Woodlands. Jane, Annie and Dawn were ringing on six for the first time. Dawn had her first ringing lesson on March 3rd.

We had a couple of hours general ringing on the morning of HM King Charles III coronation day. The local village was invited to 'ring for the king'. A celebration of the life of Betley ringer Denzil Spencer who died on May 15th. He was a valued supporter of the belfry, which has been stored in his barn for the last ten years.

First peal on the 10 bells originally from St John’s Hanley, after the refurbishment and installation at Stafford - to commemorate 100 years since the bells were cast by Gillett & Johnston.

Rung by donors, supporters, workers on the project and previous Hanley ringers.

The band would like to associate this peal with Philip A Ramsbottom and all others that have helped and donated to the relocation, refurbishment and augmentation project 2017-2023.

Rung in memory of Richard James Warren, local ringer who died on 23 July 2023 aged 46. Richard learnt to ring at Bollington, Cheshire. He moved to Ipstones & took over as Landlord of The Marquis of Granby 10 years ago. He joined the local bell ringers when the bells were installed in 2017. He had served as both Church Treasurer & Churchwarden in recent years. Several people sat in church to listen to the ringing, including his father, mother, sister & partner.
