To commemorate the death in action of Private Sidney Farrington on this day in 1918 aged 19. West Yorkshire Regiment (Prince of Wales's Own)8th Btn. Service No 62079. Commemorated at Bienvilliers Military Cemetery, France. On enlistment he was working in a pottery, painting and designing.

Sidney Farrington was a ringer at this tower in the Stoke Archidiaconal Association.
