Geoff has been Tower Captain here for 55½yrs. He has served terms as Secretary, Chairman & Bell Adviser for the N Staffs Association. He is the Diocesan Bell Adviser for the DAC at Lichfield, attending meetings when anything connected with church bells comes up on the Agenda. He has attended several National Conferences for Bell Advisers. Geoff has a great knowledge & a vast experience of bells, bell founders, bell frames & bell installations. He has carried very many inspections of bell towers in the Lichfield Diocese & has reported wisely to PCC meetings in many parishes. He was responsible for getting the lumpy old ring of 8 here at St Peter's, recast in 1971 by Taylors into a new ring of 10 bells, hung lower in the tower He is well known & respected amonsgst bell ringers everywhere.
