Celebrating 73 years of wonderful care by our own globally admired and justifiably loved NHS. Through its history it has created and then used new knowledge for our good. There have been many times when we have had cause to be thankful that those early pioneers had the faith to create it, and those within it have continued the selfless work, but perhaps we have come over the last 18 months to truly understand its value and its part in our society, and to learn that its availability to us is a privilege that not everyone in our world shares. That we show our gratitude is right. We thank you NHS and all of your people, past and present.

Marking 73 years of care from our NHS. Polio Vaccine inventor Jonas Salk once said "There is hope in dreams, imagination, and in the courage of those who wish to make those dreams a reality" - perhaps describes those who created this wonderful institution, and equally those within it throughout the years who have strived to fulfil those dreams.
