Some people stop off the motorway for a cup of tea - others stop off to ring quarter peals. So it was, that Peter and Evelyn Cummins broke their journey

back to Cornwall on Ascension Day with a couple of quarters-one each side of the M5.

The main problem at Pawlett was gaining entrance: Brinks-Mat could take a lesson from the security arrangements here, but once inside a quarter of Kent was scored with ease.

At Puriton Stedman refused to "go", but a change of method enabled us to make it two out of two.
