In Memoriam: HMS Intrepid sunk 26th September 1943, at Leros in the Dodecanese Islands. Also remembering Greek destroyer 'Queen Olga' lost in same action. John Lysons, a Hitchin ringer was on board HMS Intrepid and survived the attack and sinking.
