He was the Son of William and Julia Amy Souls, of Great Rissington. All four of his brothers, Alfred, Arthur William, Frederick George and Walter Davis Souls also fell. Their name liveth for evermore.

Also rung in memory of Private William Eggleston, Army Ordnance Corps, who died on active service on 09th January 1917 and was a ringer at Alrewas. He is buried at Salonika (Lembet Road) Military Cemetery, Greece. Their name liveth for evermore.
