For the centenary of the Battle of Jutland on 31 May. Rung to the memory of Albert Charles Ottley of Cooksmill Green, Writtle, Stoker 1st Class, HMS Queen Mary. Killed in Action on 31st May 1916 at the Battle of Jutland, aged 26. Of the crew of 1,288 there were only 20 survivors. Commemorated at Portsmouth Naval Memorial and in St Paul's Highwood. Also rung to the memory of Edward Leigh Mildmay Rose, Lieutenant, 1st Bn Canadian Scottish Pioneers. Killed in Action on 6th June 1916, aged 32. Buried at Railway Dugouts Burial Ground (Transport Farm), West Vlaanderen, Belgium and commemorated in All Saints, Writtle. Their names liveth for evermore. 50th together 4 & 5.
