The conductor has now completed the circle in eight towers, having called a peal of Major from each bell in each tower.
The treble ringer is a son of a former Vicar of Galleywood, and was home on holiday from South Africa. This was his first Surprise peal and first peal for 26 years.
C. W. Franklin was elected a life member previous to the peal.
