rung as a welcome to the Revd James Dudley Elwell who was inducted as vicar last monday, first peal by all except 2,4 and 6, BN 3rd October 1908. until the 1960s when a pair of chipboard peal boards where installed (recording this and other notable peals on the bells) this was recorded on a larger board along with an identical one recording the first local peal of kent treble bob major in 1909, as they where apparently located where the present boards are now they were taken down and stored temporarily in the clock chamber but the whereabouts of the 1909 board seem to be unknown!.
