Following the sad announcement of the death of Pope Francis, the tenor was rung 88 times as a mark of respect on the day of his funeral (1 for each year of The Pope's life).

Rung to celebrate the 80th Birthday yesterday of Patricia M Newbold, mother of the conductor. Thanks to all the band. 1380 Kettering bob doubles. Mum and dad were both from Kettering.

Rung to remember Bella, Rung at the site of famous graffiti 'Who put Bella in the wych elm?'. Bella's remains were found by four local boys on 18 April 1943 inside a hollow wych elm nearby. The case remains unsolved to this day. It is unknown what her name was but she has become known as Bella.

First quarter in Anglesey in our accomodation, what a beautiful place. Already running out of diet cola!!!

Third quarter of our tour in wales, rung after a visit to the castle and Gaol. It was gale force winds and then driving rain on the sea front, probably the worst weather we've rung in. Then a 45 minute motorbike ride back to base. Well done all.

Fourth quarter of our Wales tour, this time in a cave on Parys Mountain once the biggest copper mine in the UK. Not raining yet today!!

Rung in memory of Felix Baumgartner, exceptional helicopter pilot and daredevil who died whilst flying last Thursday. We only saw him a couple of months ago flying an amazing routine for red bull at the Ragley air festival. God rest his soul.

Rung to remember those from Ullenhall who lost their lives in the Wars. First at Ullenhall, Yvonne, first 3 qps in a day Yvonne, first one handed Yvonne, first inside at Ullenhall Tess. Also rung with the 5 and 6 half muffled. The other 4 made no sound when half muffled due to the odd clapper assemblies so we rang the front 4 open.

'New for November' challenge - A new tower for all ringers at Wootton Wawen, the oldest church in Warwickshire, where we climbed the ancient 'log' staircase up to the ringing chamber and each rang on every bell during our practice.

Also a first on 2nd to Grandsire Doubles for Alison Cross.

The first ever performance of this method.

This is a Method Version of the inscription of 120 ringing rows that were painted in the 17th century on the north tower wall of the now-redundant Church of St Giles, in the uninhabited village of Imber, on Salisbury Plain.

In the 17th century, the ringing rows would have been rung as Call Changes. These 120 changes were and are known as 'The Plain Changes'. As Call Changes, they would have taken some 10 minutes to ring, if called briskly. As the Historic Imber method, they take about 4 minutes to ring.

Note: The inscription includes the date of 1692 in the top left hand corner.

Note: The method had been provisionally known as Basic Treble Place Doubles.

50 minutes of Grandsire Doubles rung to celebrate the 80th birthday on 4/12/25 of the tenor ringer Derek Harwood. Sadly a quarter peal was not possible because a rope repeatedly slipped its wheel, but the striking was good and we finished with a nice touch of 80 changes.

Rung to celebrate the life of Rev David Eve, who retired from Cleobury Mortimer to Alcester where he joined the Alcester ringers in November 2024. An accomplished ringer, he was an asset to the band. He passed away a couple of weeks ago after a short illness. May he rest in peace and rise in glory.
