Rung in memory of Private William Charles Beacham. Died 27/04/1918, aged 18. Royal Berkshire Regiment 2nd Bn. Service No.50545. Commemorated at Adelaide Cemetery, Villers-Bretonneux, France, Grave II P 14.

One of eleven children, five surviving at the 1911 census. Son of William Beacham and Emma Beacham (née Farmer) of Raglan House, Old Road, Allesley, Coventry, Warwickshire. At the time of the 1911 census, he was working as a carpenter’s apprentice.

Born: Allesley. Enlisted: Coventry, initially in the Royal Warwickshire Regiment, Service No.39954. Resided: Allesley.

Rung in celebration of the life of Arthur (john) Parr Churchwarden of our neighbouring parish church in Haselor since 1996. Who Passed away on 25/03/2018. 05/11/1931 to 25/03/2018, he was a dedicated and indispensable servant of the Church and the village for many years. Thanks go to our friends Molly, Barbara and Rob who enabled us to mark the occasion today. We didn't make the 1260 but will try again!! Rest in peace John Parr.

Rung by an Aston Cantlow/Bidford band to celebrate the life of John Davis an Aston Cantlow ringer with his wife Carol for many years until she passed away a few years ago. John continued to ring until around a year ago when he suffered heart problems. He passed away peacefully on Wednesday 26/09/2018. He will be greatly missed. All the Aston Cantlow ringers would like to be associated with this quarter peal including, John S Martin, Albert Williams, Brian coughlan, John Buckley, Gwen comfort, Michael Homans, Hugh Shorthouse, Adrian Chatterton, Sue, Heather and Penny. Rang half muffled in remembrance of the 10 men from Offchuch who gave their lives in ww1, prior to remembrance service.

Rung for Battle's Over in memory of Sgt William J Treadwell DCM (relative of 3) who died on 9th October 1918 aged 26 and is buried in the churchyard. We honour his sacrifice and mourn all those who lost their lives in WWI.

Rung for Ringing Remembers. Matthew & Sheila Cooke (6) have recently learnt to ring under the Ringing Remembers campaign.

At 7.05pm all of our new recruits rang rounds and some call changes, Lizzy,Lucy,Sue,Heather,penny,Hugh together with our other ringers to celebrate 100 years since the end of the great war.

JW Brown RWR died 13 July 1918, Pte. F Barnwell RMLI died 2 August 1918, Pte, FW Sparkes RWR died 11 August 1918, Major RW Barnett KRRC died 12 August 1918, and Bom. A Jones RFA died 15 October 1918. Pte. F Barnwell is recorded in the Parish magazine of the time as being a ringer at Bilton. He was not a member of the Warwickshire Guild and is therefore not recorded on the CCCBR Roll of Honour.

A very Nicely struck Half muffled Quarter Peal was rung to say goodbye to 2018, a year in which we have lost a number of friends in and around the parish. Others have also become ill or injured. Especially we think of Geoff Sreeves who is recovering from hip surgery at present after his fall. May 2019 be a good year for all. Thanks to all those who have rung quarters with us this last year.
