Peterborough Diocesan Guild Ringing Room (Maidwell) Friday, 22 January 2021 12 Plain Hunt Minor 1–2 Stephanie A Bruce 3–4 Nicholas R Wilson 5–6 Fiona L Howes First go in Ringing Room: 1-2; 5-6 The Maidwell ringers finally had their first attempt together in Ringing Room and greatly enjoyed it. All ringers had a turn with each pair. We're hooked and will be back soon! Peterborough Diocesan Guild Ringing Room (Maidwell) Friday, 26 February 2021 20 Plain Hunt Royal Composed by Original 1–2 Lydie Melvin 3–4 Stephanie A Bruce 5–6 Jane Ginns 7–8 Nicholas R Wilson 9–10 Fiona L Howes This was the Maidwell & Friends Band's first attempt at ringing on 10, and a successful course of Plain Hunt was rung at the second attempt, and then repeated. The more practiced members of the band then rang a plain course of Bob Minor (two in hand), with two of that band having never done any method ringing in the tower. Our achievements are very modest, but show what can be done with practice and perseverance. One of the band is now successfully teaching some of their non-ringing friends to ring plain hunt on six two in hand. We hope others will be inspired to do the same.
