Derek was Tower Captain at Welland for many years before becoming Tower Captain at Upton. He was a highly skilled and well respected ringer in Worcestershire, and a member of the Association for 70 years. He passed away on Christmas Eve, December 24th 2024, so it was only fitting that we should mark the occasion of his birthday in this way. Derek will be fondly remembered by all who knew him throughout the ringing world.
