Our Sunday Service ringing today is dedicated to Revd. Jayne Parker who was ordained Priest at Worcester Cathedral yesterday, and who was presiding at the Eucharist for the first time. Congratulations Jayne!

Rung on the back five for the Patronal festival, and following the first service of Holy Communion led by Revd Linda Nicholas following her priesting at Worcester Cathedral yesterday, with the congratulations of the Ipsley ringers.

Tolling in memory of Michael Amies, one of Pershore's greatly treasured personalities, who died aged 88. For Michael's funeral, his coffin was loaded onto the 'Corsair' at The Angel moorings to journey along the River Avon to Wyre Piddle; the tolling, coordinated by mobile phone, commenced as 'Corsair' departed from the moorings.

Michael served the town in a voluntary capacity for several decades as a leader and negotiator in projects for the benefit of Pershore people including: Pershore's Community Hospital, Number 8 Arts Centre, Pershore Market Town Partnership, Town Plan, Wellbeing Hub, First Responders, and more widely Renal Transplantation, Prostate Cancer. For the Birmingham Commonwealth Games, Michael was chosen to carry the Queen's Baton through Pershore.
