Rung to mark the 100th anniversary of the death of local soldier Private William George Perks, 10th Battalion, Cheshire Regiment, killed during a skirmish in Belgium on Friday 17th April 1917. The band wish to include Martyn Palmer, a local ringer, who rang with us before and after the quarter.

Rung on the day of the 100th anniversary of the death, aged 23, of Private Wilfred Akers, 1st Field Service Battalion, Somerset Light Infantry, from the neighbouring village of Charlton. He was evacuated from the North West Frontier garrison in India through illness to Durban, South Africa, where he later died from pneumonia and is buried in the Durban Road Military Cemetery. Also best wishes to Steve on his birthday.

Quarter Peal rung to commemorate the 200th anniversary of John Corbett's birth in 1817. John Corbett (bapt. 29 June 1817 - 22 April 1901) was an English industrialist, philanthropist, and Liberal Party politician of the Victorian era. He was particularly associated with the salt extraction process in Droitwich Spa, Worcestershire; locally he was nicknamed, The Salt King.

The Droitwich Arts Network organised an event - Salt King 200 - and requested bells to be rung. Consequently, this Quarter and ringing at Wychbold and Stoke Prior was arranged; these churches benefited from John Corbett's generosity. Whilst the Quarter was being rung the 'Salt King 200' picnic was taking place in the grounds of John Corbett's famous residence - Chateau Impney.

Rung in memory of Alfred George Hurren, who sadly died in the Battle of Cambrai, exactly 100 years ago today. Born in Madresfield and a ringer at Madresfield Church. He was just 21 years old.

Dedicated to, and in memory of, Kerstin Smith-Cooper, our youngest ringer, who very sadly died last December. Today would have been her 21st Birthday.

Rung in thanksgiving for the life of Harold White (Stuart's grandad), affectionately remembered by all the band. He learned to ring here in 1944 and maintained a lifelong connection with the tower, serving as captain for many years. He was passionate about his ringing. Members of the family were present during part of the peal and provided refreshments afterwards. Dave Andrews, John Sutton, John Lawley and Mike Lashford wish to be associated with this tribute.
