A “birthday touch” in belated celebration for Sue’s “big birthday” which was on “Mayday” this year.

In celebration of the Feast Day of St Dunstan, patron saint of bell ringers. Annie Ashton, Trevor Hitchcock, Kathryn Lambert and Roger Willis also took part as it was rung several times during the Friday Group practice. First monocyclic method for all.

Prior to the vigil marking 80 years since the bombing raid which killed over 40 people in Torbay including the destuction of this church. 21 children and 3 teachers were killed as they gathered for Sunday School - many more were injured.

Rung to Mark the Coronation of King Charles and Queen Camilla. The Peal was especially arranged to mark a peal 70 years previous for the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II. At the conclusion of the peal the band was met by William J Harvey who rang the 7th in the 1950's peal. He is the only surviving member of that band.

Half Muffled. The final act of a week marking the 80th anniversay of a bombing raid which destroyed this church and killed 21 children and three Sunday school teachers, injuring many more on 30th May (Rogation Sunday) 1943. The peal started at 2.40pm which was the exact time that the bomb struck. The church clock was stopped at that time for many years. We also remember Brian Mountjoy the composer of the peal
