Remembering Eric William Greenleaf, a Royal Marines Musician for 26 years who served throughout World War II and was a veteran of 15 Arctic Convoys and the Battle of the River Plate. Eric died on 26/04/18 aged 97. His funeral was held in Plymouth earlier today.

Rung half-muffled. The bells went into changes at 2.50pm exactly 75 years after the bomb which destroyed the church and killed 24 Sunday School children and teachers. Don Roberts was a schoolboy at the time. We associate all present St Marychurch ringers with this Quarter, especially Jeanette Thompson whose father, Gerald did not attend Sunday school that afternoon as he wanted to watch Arthur Askey filming locally. "Arthur saved my life!".

Rung to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the passing of Private George Howard Martin Richards of the Royal Berkshire Regiment 5th Bn. Service No.45048 and a ringer at Holy Trinity who died in the City of London Military Hospital on 31st May 1918.
