[The ringer of 5th is given as Edward Sargent in Bell News (No 1332, Vol. XXVI, October 12th 1907, p 356.) and Edwin Sargent in the Guild Peal Book, all the other Sargent’s in the Guild Peal Book are Edmund. There is only one Sargent, an E M Sargent, shown in the cumulative “Peals Rung for the Guild” up to the 1921 Guild Annual Report. It is safe to assume that Edmund Sargent actually rang the 5th!]
