Remembering, with gratitude, Stan Clark (1903-1994) and Roger Burberry (1946-2005) who taught him to ring. Leaving church on Sunday morning, Mr. Clark asked "how old are you, Michael?" "Twelve? Then it is about time for you to learn to ring. Come to the bell tower tomorrow at 7:30". There was no question of not complying. It led to fifty years of meeting great people, attempting great challenges, and having great fun. I am grateful that bellringing has shaped so much of my life and led to so many friendships.
