Rung half-muffled to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the start of WW1. Two Cookham ringers were killed in action during this war: Private Charles William White (d. 20 Oct 1916) and Private Walter Thomas Gillman Woolford (d: 18 Sept 1918 aged 19). RIP.
In 1914 there were just six bells at Cookham. It was appropriate, therefore, that this Quarter was rung on those same six bells.
