Rung to celebrate the 100th Birthday today of Harry Schulman MBE TD who came to farm at Abbey Farm North Creake in 1936 and has lived between North and South Creake ever since. He was a Japanese Prisoner of War for 4 years. On his return having married, he moved to Sly's Farm. He was Church Warden at North Creake for over 50 Years.

Rung to mark the 175th anniversary of the first peal of London S Major, rung at St Andrew's, Norwich (now unringable) on this date in 1835, using the original composition; remembering too those famous advocates of the method - James Washbrook, William Pye, Peter Border and Stephen Ivin. Also rung to mark the 250th anniversary of a peal in this tower on this date in 1760, immediately after which the ringer of the 6th, John Webster, fell to the ground dead; we did not exactly replicate this performance on this occasion! The event is commemorated on a stone tablet in the ringing chamber.

Rung to celebrate the 90th. birthday of Tony Holmes, Ryburgh's poet in residence and the 108th anniversary of the first peal on these bells that took place in 1902 just 18 years before Tony's birth.
