First peal for the Society: 2.

Rung to mark the 100th anniversary of the first peal by the Society on these

bells, which were then hung at St James, Bermondsey. It had been planned

to ring the same method and composition as that ten bell peal, but sadly it had

to be reduced to major owing to the indisposition of one of the band.

The band would like to associate with this peal Nick Cheesman, Robin

Clarke and Pauline Smith, who had all been either included in the

original band, or helped in our preparations.
