Garth was former director of Oldrids Downtown and joint owner of Johnson's Garden Centre in Boston and was greatly involved with Boston in Bloom. His memorial service was held in a packed St. Botolph's Parish Church, Boston yesterday Thursday March 17th. May he rest in peace. The 1816 peal is commemorated on a peal board in the tower. Remembering William P. Miller who rang the treble in the 1816 peal. Mr Miller was the driving force behind getting the bells augmented and it was always his hope and intension to raise the funds to further augment them to ten, however he sadly died before this could be achieved.
