Rung in memory of Flight Lieutenant Jon Egging (Red 4) of the RAF aerobatics team "The Red Arrows", which are based at RAF Scampton, Lincolnshire. Flt Lt Egging was tragically killed on Saturday 20th August 2011 when his plane lost control and crashed following a display at the Bournemouth Air Festival.
The treble here at Kirton was donated by the Royal Air Force in 1981 when the bells were augmented from 6 to 8.
