Rung half muffled prior to Evensong in memory of Nev Rees aged 43, his wife Karen aged 41 and their son Andrew aged 11 who were all tragically killed in a car accident on the A17 near their home at RAF Cranwell last week. They leave behind their other son David aged 14 who was not in the car at the time of the accident. Our thoughts are with their orphaned son David and his immediate family.

English Heritage and the Heritage Lottery Fund announced today from St. Mary's Church, Stow, Lincolnshire, a package of grants worth £1.4 million for repairs to 19 grade I and II* listed Churches and Chapels across the East Midlands.
After the announcements were made to the press and media a Quarter Peal was rung to Celebrate the £104,000 grant given to St. Mary's Church Stow from the English Heritage and the Heritage Lottery Fund for repair work to this historic Church.

Alec Knight was appointed Dean of Lincoln in 1998 and during his eight years at Lincoln he has turned around the Cathedrals fortunes and repaired relationships. We all owe him a great debt of gratitude for all his hard work and he will be greatly missed.

Rung to wish Richard Woodcock all the best during his year as Captain of Blankney Golf Club on the morning of his Captains Drive-In which officially marks the start of the new golf season and his year as Captain. The ringer of the 6th is Richardâs wife and the ringers of the 5th and 2nd are Richardâs Son and Daughter. Richard Managed to drive 207 yards in a strong head wind and it was straight down the middle of the fairway, Not Bad! Well done!
(The Quarter was rung immediately after he had driven and set of playing up the 1st fairway. We hope we did not put him of too much whilst he was playing golf as the Church is just opposite the Golf Course!)

St Andrewâs Church Ewerby would not have had this splendid peal of ten if it was not for the generosity of Murray Edward Gordon Finch Hatton, the 12th Earl of Winchelsea & the 7th Earl of Nottingham who augmented Ewerby bells from four to ten by having six new trebles cast in 1896.
Rung to Celebrate the 110th Anniversary of the front six bells being cast and the bells being augmented to ten.

Rung to Celebrate the 200th Anniversary of the Birth of Isambard Kingdom Brunel.
This Quarter Peal was rung on The Woodside Mobile Campanile of Ceramic Bells in the Bar of the Castle Hill Club in Castle Square, Lincoln. The reason for this was Brunel came to Lincoln in 1833 to survey the Fossdyke Navigation and whilst up in Lincoln he stayed at what was the Black Boy Inn (now the Castle Hill Club) in the bedroom immediately above the bar area where we rang this Quarter Peal.

The band wishes to associate Dot Mason with the Quarter. It had been intended that Dot would ring but when seven people turned up Dot agreed to stand down and act as Photographer!
