The reason for this was Brunel came to Lincoln in 1833 to survey the Fossdyke Navigation and whilst up in Lincoln he stayed at what was the Black Boy Inn (now the Castle Hill Club) in the bedroom immediately above the bar area where we rang this Quarter Peal.
