Rung in memory of Philip Vracas who rang at Kilburn, was involved in the project to bring full circle change ringing bells to Ypres and has the treble dedicated to him and, as he would have wished, to the memory of the many known and unknown soldiers who served in the First World War.
In particular we remember Richard Charley Gutteridge of the Durham Light Infantry, died 1918 in his early twenties and just married, buried in Hermonville, great-uncle to the 2 ringer, and Private Wilfred Edgcome Richards of the Royal Fusiliers, born 1878, died 7th October 1916, and remembered at Thiepval Memorial, great-uncle-in-law of the 2 ringer.

Simon Walsh and enjoyed a wonderful lunch afterwards in the church. The weather was storm-threatening but the church spire was bathed in glorious sunshine as we rang.
