In thanksgiving for the life of David W Threlfall of Battle etc, who rang his first QP of Cambridge Minor without conductor-assistance here a couple of years since.

Also marking the 21st anniversary today of the first peal with 'The Society' (ASCY) at St Martin, Cheriton (Belfast S. Major), which was also his first 8-bell peal, for the ringer of 5-6.

To mark the 100th. anniversary of the death, aged 18, of Private Cecil Gerald Turley a probationer bellringer at St.Mary's who contracted meningitis whilst training at Crowborough Camp, Sussex.

Believed to be the first double-handed QP in the tower.
