This was the first on the newly-augmented ten bells, the trebles being given by subscription by Members of the G&B in memoriam to those members who lost their lives during the Great War. Whilst the attempt was successful, the peal was later found to be false and thus discounted.
Dedicated also to the memory of John R Ridley, who was to have rung in this peal.

Tony was onetime tower captain at Stratton and held office at Branch and Association level of the G & B. Tony’s last peal on 20 January 2011 was at Stratton in the same method, with the same composition, conductor and time. Mark Edwards and Robert and Anita Sherriff wish to be associated with this peal.
