When ringing Grandsire he was limited to ringing the 3 in the half-hunt. As a tribute to Dave the 3 remained in the half-hunt throughout the quarter. The Battalion took a redoubt with the assistance of a tank and the Camel Corps, but were targeted by Turkish artillery fire and sustained heavy losses before having to retreat. Henry is commemorated on the Jerusalem Memorial, as his body was never found.
