Specially arranged and rung to commemorate the marriage, later this day, of Francis Maples and Verity Brooke, respectively (and much more) chairman of the Friends of Christ Church and children's Sunday club leader: "The people's wedding!” - a "Glorious" (50033/D433*) occasion for the church family. (*The aptly-named "Warship" class locomotive that provided a backdrop to the post-wedding festivities at Swindon's STEAM railway museum.)
This composition, dating from 1968 but never published, performed for the first time (the composer had no recollection of it!).
