This peal was rung on the occasion of the opening of the bells. All the above belong to the Upton St. Leonard’s Society except R. Brunsdon. who belongs to St. Mary-de-Crypt, Gloucester, and is organist of that church.

This peal is the longest yet rung in the method, and was accomplished at the first attempt. It is the first peal of Caters conducted by Mr. Pates. Messrs. J Belcher (Cheltenham) and Chas. Hounslow (Oxford) were referees, and ticked off the courses as they were rung. Mr. Hattersley was nominated for membership before starting.
