To Celebrate the Platinum Jubilee of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
The Band want to associate Francis Fisher with this Peal - Francis, until recently Ratby's Tower Captain, arranged this Peal fully intending to take part himself as his 1st Peal was rung for the Queen's Silver Jubilee (06 June 1977) - but due to a sudden health issue Francis is currently in Hospital. Francis had chosen Platinum SM for the Peal, but Platinum "didn't go" on the Day so the Band rang Yorkshire to "guarantee" a Peal on this auspicious occasion. The Band all wish Francis a speedy recovery back to Ringing (& also thank Mark for standing-in at short notice).
