Rung half muffled to mark the 100th Anniversary of Britain entering the First World War and remembering all those who gave their lives in the conflict, especially the 82 men from Whitwick, as well as all those who returned.

Tenor bell tolled 45 times in memory of the 45 men from the Parish of Great Bowden who were killed in the First World War. Rung for World War One centenary commemorations by Ray Martin whose family lost four members in the conflict.

Dedicated to the 105 men from the village who lost their lives in WW1. Specially remembering J Thomas Bottrill a local ringer, who died from his wounds in Portsmouth hospital on 17.7.1917, aged 26, having taken part as a marine in the campaigns at Gallipoli and the Dardanelles, RIP. Treble - 1st quarter.
