The above peal is the first rung in the Barrow Squash Club. Maximus Bibendus would have been quite at home as we rang in the bar some few feet from the handpumps. As the temperature moved into the low 80`s several glances were directed to the Taylor`s Landlord and Tom Wood`s Best Bitter. This must be the nearest one gets to a campanological version of the Chinese water torture. The post peal `Landlord` was both excellent and very welcome.
