Rung in memory of Harry Ingham who died 17th October 1917 and Chris Davenport who died in April 1918, both believed to be ringers at this tower. Both are shown in the attached photo from 1908, we think Harry is the young lad standing behind his father the tower captain.

For 100th Anniversary of the Armistice, remembering in particular Woodchurch ringer Private Harold Johnson, 4th Cheshire Regiment who died 1916. Also in Memory of Rev'd Canon Walter Stanley Walker whoose funeral took place yesterday.

For the 100th Anniversary of the Armistice, remembering in particular Upton ringer Private George Edward Sherlock of the Royal Welsh Fusiliers who died 27th October 1918, aged 21.

Rung by the South Branch of the Chester Diocesan Guild to mark the centenary of the WW1 Armistice. It was the first quarter on the bells rung on the simulator. It was rung half muffled. 100th Q - 4.

For the 100th Anniversary of the Armistice, remembering in particular Liscard ringer Captain Thomas Murray of the 11th Cheshire Regiment who died in 1916. Descendants of Captain Murray happened to be visiting the church to learn about their relative, and stayed to listen to part of the ringing. Also in memory of Cadwaldr Edwards who fought and died in WW1, family to Joanne Dowson.

Performed to open the Cheshire East Council public arts event 'When the Light Goes Out'. These bells have been silent since October 2013. Rung by the South Branch of the Chester Diocesan Guild to mark the centenary of the WW1 Armistice.

To mark the centenary of the Armistice at the end of the Great War, remembering especially former Grappenhall ringer John Lancelot Smith, killed in action at the Battle of the Somme, 9th August 1916, and Second Lieutenant John Thomson of the King's Liverpool Regiment, grandfather of Mike and Nick Thomson, killed in Belgium, 18th June 1917. Rung during practice night to commemorate 100 years since the Armistice that ended World War 1

Rung to mark the 100th anniversary of the Armistice and to commemorate those of Chelford parish who served in the Great War.

Also rung in remembrance of Sergeant Walter Boneham from Shotteswell who was the Great Uncle of 2 and Great-Great Uncle of 3. Sergeant Walter Boneham served in the 1/4th Battalion of the Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry and was killed in action near Ypres on the 8th May 1915.

Rung for peace to commemorate the centenary of the Armistice & in memory of the residents of Chapel St, Altrincham where 161 men from 60 homes signed up with 29 killed in action. Also to remember the 71 local Bowdon parishioners who lost their lives.

Rung to mark the centenary of the death of Private Herbert Williamson (Depot Unit, The Loyal North Lancashire Regiment, Service No.42024) on 15th December 1918. Herbert Williamson was a ringer at Norbury Parish Church prior to serving in the Great War.

Rung prior to the Advent Service of Nine Lessons and Carols. Longest piece of ringing to date: 3.

For the annual Carol Service. 501st on the bells since re-hanging in 1966, and hopefully not the last before the bells are removed in January prior to replacement by a new ring of ten. Yorkshire was chosen as it was the first Surprise Major method to be rung by a Grappenhall Sunday Service band (10th November 1994). I miscounted -doh (thought it was no 500!)!

Rung to celebrate the life of Ivor Trueman (1930-1988), Father of Sarah, Father-in-law of Mark and Grand-father of Michael and Brendan. Rosanna, his Grand-daughter, would also like to be associated with this Quarter.

Echoing the inscription on the fourth, wishing "Peace & Good Neighbourhood" to the people of Nantwich this Christmas and for the New Year.

A retirement compliment to Rev Paul Mason on the eve of his final service at St Luke's after nearly 15 yeas as incumbent. The band would like to wish Paul a long and happy retirement.
