This peal was rung as a tribute to the untiring efforts put forth in the past by Mr. W. Bibby, and of Mr. Jenkins in the present, for the advancement of change ringing in this district. The great feature of this peal was the splendid striking throughout. It is suggested that this may be the first instance of father and two sons ringing their first Surprise peal 'inside' together.
