The peal at Barthomley, Cheshire

This is the first peal of Major on the bells, which were opened for ringing on September 25th 1908 (after the addition of two trebles and complete restoration by Messrs Taylor and Co) with a peal of Grandsire Triples, in which 4 of the present company took part. The band represented 4 towers in the Crewe Branch - namely 1st and 6th are local men, 2nd from Lawton, 3,4,5 from Crewe and the 6th from Alsager

This peal was arranged for Messrs. Bowmer, Hill and George, of Ripley, Derbyshire, who were proposed members of the above Guild previous to the commencement of the peal.
