Rung on the back six, half muffled, in memory of Lothar ‘Lou’ Stark (1925-2023), great-uncle of the conductor. Lothar was born in Germany in 1925 but has lived for many decades in Southampton; he passed away at Southampton General Hospital on 23rd May 2023.
The ringing here today is linked with a quarter peal of 1440 Plain Bob Minor, rung here on 21st November 2015, in memory of Lothar’s late wife, Lorna Frances Stark, which the conductor also called.
Dan Graham is to be associated with this quarter peal, ringing in the quarter in 2015 and fitting the muffles for today's quarter.
