Rung open to celebrate the life of Mavis Clack, on the day of her funeral, by a band of Hampreston ringers and friends.

Mavis was the mother to Angie, and grandmother to Linda and Peter Jasper and was a frequent visitor to Hampreston and she will be greatly missed.

The Jasper family have faithfully served Hampreston for more than 25 years, and the thoughts of the quarter peal band, and the wider Hampreston group of ringers are with them at this difficult time.

Rung by a local band to celebrate the life of Graham Wakely Elmes, a long-time member of the band, past Tower Captain and SDGR HLM, RIP (24/12/2017); also in memory of Douglas Whyte RIP (18/12/2017).

Rung half muffled on the back five (after meeting short for ringing all six) in memory of Joan Warren, the much missed mother to Ed, who passed away aged 96 last night.

The tenor was then tolled 96 times by the conductor after the quarter, one blow for every year of Joan's life.

The conductor wishes to associate Caroline Barnes with this quarter peal.

Rung by the Salisbury Branch committee in memory of Malcolm Penney, branch Ringing Master, committee member and friend. He is very much missed. This was the first quarter peal rung by Penelope Ibbs and the 250th quarter peal for Ian Davidson.

Rung in memory of John Simpson, late of this parish, on what would have been his 84th birthday. John was a member of the Royal Horse Guards and was part of the mounted escort at the Coronation of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth 11.

Also rung to celebrate the life of Graham Elmes, of Wareham, who died on 24th December 2017. Graham rang his final quarter peal on these bells on 6th December 2016.
