The band would like to associate with this peal John Curry, the administrator at the Arts Centre, who is leaving at the end of March. John has helped us in many ways, especially in the early days when we were trying to get permission to ring on the bells; he has moved heaven and earth for us, and we shall always be eternally grateful to him for all he has done for us over the years.

First peal - 2, 4. 499th peal - 6. On the 100th anniversary of the first 2 peals of Plain Bob Major for SGDR, both rung at St Martin's in Salisbury. The 2nd peal was rung exactly 100 years ago on 29 December 1888, conducted by William W Gifford in 3 hrs 10 mins. This peal of 5120 changes was the longest length for the Guild at that time, all other peals having been 5040 changes.

500th peal - 7. For the Patronal Festival. Wishing George Massey a swift return to good health following his operation which prevented him from ringing in this peal.
